GreenTree Technologies Announces DataView Powerful ActiveX Controls for Creating Powerful, Customizable Data Entry Forms

Kass Huntington, NY - April 1, 1996 GreenTree Technologies, Inc. announced today DataView, a new development product focused on creating powerful and customizable data entry applications quicker and easier than ever before. DataView is a set of ActiveX Controls which includes the DataView ActiveX Control for creating forms and the DataNavigator ActiveX Control, an enhanced data control. The DataView control enables a programmer to quickly and easily develop front-end data entry applications for their end users. Using the DataView control is simple, just place it on your form and attach it to a data source. The DataView takes care of the rest by automatically positioning each field in your database on the form with a caption and the appropriate data entry field such as a text box, check box, etc. depending on the field’s data type. The programmer can also change the data source dynamically at runtime and the DataView will automatically provide the end user with the new view of their data. The DataView control also has a powerful feature that optionally lets the end user customize their forms. The end user can drag and drop fields onto the view, delete fields, change field properties, and more. This feature gives the end user the ultimate flexibility they need to change the look and functionality of their data entry forms on the fly without consuming additional programming resources.
